History of Osh Medical CollegeThe Osh Medical College was organized on the basis of Decree 429 of the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR dated November 16, 1988, the proposal of the Osh Regional Health Department, branches of the Jalal-Abad Medical College in the Osh Region.
According to the decision of the State Inspection Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic dated April 30, 1992 and the order of the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 15, 1992, on the basis of order No. 145, it was changed as the "Osh Medical School". On October 12, 2008, on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 639 with the name "Osh Medical College" is still valid.
The total number of college teachers is 76 people, they have extensive experience and are professional medical teachers. There are two reading rooms. 33 theories, 26 practices, 11 clinics, 4 laboratories, 1 assembly hall, 1 library, a state language center and a historical museum for the use of students. The library has 15,584 medical, humanitarian and literary fund of books.
The possibility of using the electronic library is considered. Computers in the library and resource center are available for students connected to high speed internet. Since the establishment of the Osh Medical College, more than 9,000 medical specialists have been trained and are now contributing to the health of the population.
The Osh Medical College trains specialized medical personnel, they have extensive experience, the college is recognized as an educational institution in the Kyrgyz Republic with a material and technical base that meets modern requirements.
